Today is Monday friends, a personal blog post Monday as we promised. We are recovering from a wonderful but long and intense Indian Wedding  [we got up at 2am and went to sleep just before that] but it was worth it, every minute was filled with love, laughter, tradition and everything we love Indian Weddings for.  If you’d like, go to our FACEBOOK PAGE for a sneak peak [don't forget to like our page, it makes us feel so good!] Oh, and we OD’d on the wonderful vegetarian food too!

Anyhow, we’ll get to that wedding in time.    But it rocked our world.   It is sometimes hard for a photographer to get into a certain market;  they say you have to be good at very specific things in order to succeed, so a lot of folks look for experienced people in Indian Weddings.   Some time ago, few years back, one couple were looking for something different and they took a chance.    They hired us and we shot our first Indian wedding, and then our love affair started.

We don’t specialize in any specific type of wedding, we don’t want to be labeled… we want to specialize in LOVE, any and all LOVE

…but going back to risk taking.   We are big risk takers in life.   I am, for sure… Marcin is more …grounded but I do “inspire” him to be a little crazy in life too!  We took a HUGE risk, adopting an unaltered “bitch” pit/american bulldog mix. It was a gamble, especially with another female at home.   We are crazy, but we’re also super responsible and understand the needs of a dog of any breed, but especially the ones that are so mistreated and misunderstood as bully breeds.     We took a risk, the stakes and responsibility were high but the rewards are too!  We have new best friend and so does Luna.    Sure, they act like typical sisters; one minute loving each other the other not so much.   Sure, we put countless hours of training and we walk them every day to drain their energy and exercise them.   But we took a risk,  and we would have not have the other way.

So go ahead, take a risk, trust your gut.   Enjoy life.

This is our life and this is our journey. You ask, but a blog post on monday?  yup, we’re starting a new thing; personal mondays. Maybe each monday, maybe every other monday, or just some mondays we’ll be posting about our life.  We asked on our FACEBOOK page and you said, you wanted it.  We are pleased. We want to share with you the little things, the little moments, that aren’t little to us.  Today; we’ll start with THE journey.

Our business started in NYC, first there was a studio in Long Island City’s very artsy Five Points, then we moved to Manhattan’s uber cool fashion district. Then we moved out of the city but still about 80% of our weddings were in or very close to NYC, so we kept the office and kept on being the cool NYC Wedding Photographers we always dreamed of being.   Something happened along the way; and we started to get more and more inquires from all over the place.  Our clients would be miles from Manhattan and at one point we did not need the fancy Manhattan address anymore; we simply did not need a meeting space, our meetings started to be over SKYPE. We became the NY/NJ Wedding Photographers and shot more and more outside of those two states too.  So, since we weren’t tided to Manhattan anymore. ..or to any particular place for that matter, we decided to give our love for nature and quietness dictate our place of living.  We moved to the area of Delaware Water Gap, where we currently reside in a quaint forest, cute little cottage home with Aga’s dream porch and of course, our pups.      We only moved about half an hour from where we were before, but we are in totally different state now.   Our journey continues but in a different way;  exploring our new neighborhoods,  decorating our house [and anybody that knows Aga, knows she LOVES scavenging vintage shops to find things that are unique...and boy! the shops here are amazing!!!!]…. and enjoying the nature….so we’re now  NJ / PA Wedding Photographers but won’t discriminate any weddings in New York of course…or any other city on this earth…

We have to mention this, all the folks we met in PA that are in the Wedding industry here; so far have been WONDERFUL!    Open, friendly and you know what? just plain cool!   Thank you for the warm welcome, friends.
